UMCB has a few clubs and societies that provide the oportunity for you to take part and promote the Welsh language or socialise through the medium of Welsh:

But there is ample room for expansion! What about a Welsh Language Dramatic Society? Or a Welsh language film group – you could use the Main Arts Lecture Theatre to show the films or create your own Welsh films!

Starting a Club or Society

If you start a club or society which is affiliated with UMCB, or by affiliating a club that already exists with UMCB, you will have the full facilities and resources of the Union at your disposal to help you run the club or society in an efficient and effective way. However, the University has charitable status and UMCB is funded by the Union which in turn gets its money from the University, therefore, there are certain legal requirements that must be adhered to. This document outlines what UMCB is offering to its clubs and societies and what it asks of its clubs and societies in return.

Clybiau a Chymdeithasau UMCB

Mae gan UMCB ychydig o glybiau a chymdeithasau sy’n rhoi’r cyfle i chi gymryd rhan a hyrwyddo’r iaith neu gymdeithasu trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg:

Y Ddraenen: cylchgrawn Cymraeg
Ystafell Gyffredin (YG) JMJ
Y Llef: papur newydd Cymraeg

Ond mae yna ddigon o le am fwy! Beth am gymdeithas ddrama Gymraeg? Neu gymdeithas ffilm Gymraeg – gallech chi ddefnyddio Prif Ddarlithfa’r Celfyddydau i ddangos ffilmiau neu greu ffilmiau Cymraeg eich hun!

Dechrau Clwb neu Cymdeithas

Trwy greu clwb neu gymdeithas sy’n gysylltiedig ag UMCB, neu ymgysylltu clwb neu gymdeithas sydd eisoes yn bodoli ag UMCB, byddech yn cael defnyddio llawer o adnoddau’r Undeb i’ch helpu i redeg eich clwb neu gymdeithas mewn ffordd fwy effeithlon. Ond wrth gwrs, mae gan y Brifysgol statws elusennol, ac mae UMCB yn cael ei arian o’r Undeb, sy’n cael arian o’r Brifysgol, felly mae yna rai gofynion cyfreithiol bydd rhaid cadw atynt efo help UMCB a’r Undeb. Mae’r ddogfen yma’n amlinellu beth mae UMCB yn ei gynnig i’w glybiau a chymdeithasau, a beth mae UMCB yn gofyn gan y clybiau a chymdeithasau yma.
