The Sabbatical Team

What is a Sabb? ‘Sabbs’ are your Sabbatical Officers; they’re essentially students who have chosen to take a year out and have been democratically elected in a cross-campus ballot to run your Students’ Union and represent you.

What does a Sabb do? Sabbs make sure that the Students’ Union is run by students for students so that everything the Union does is geared towards your wants and needs during your time at Bangor University. Sabbs ensure that students are properly represented in the University, the local community and beyond. Here in Bangor we have five Sabbs, responsible for the SU as a whole, each with their own remit and area of responsibility:

Beth yw’r Sabs? Swyddogion Sabothol yw’r ‘Sabs’; maent yn fyfyrwyr sydd wedi dewis cymryd blwyddyn o’u hastudiaethau ac wedi cael eu hethol yn ddemocrataidd mewn pleidlais draws-campws i redeg eich Undeb Myfyrwyr ac i’ch cynrychioli chi.

Beth mae Sab yn ei wneud? Beth nad ydynt yn ei wneud? Mae’r Sabs yn gwneud yn siŵr fod Undeb y Myfyrwyr yn cael ei redeg gan fyfyrwyr, ar gyfer myfyrwyr fel bod popeth sy’n cael ei wneud gan yr undeb wedi ei gyfeirio at eich dymuniadau a’ch anghenion chi dros eich cyfnod ym Mhrifysgol Bangor. Mae’r Sabs yn sicrhau fod y myfyrwyr yn cael eu cynrychioli’n iawn o fewn y Brifysgol, y gymuned leol a thu hwnt.
