Canoe Polo Club

The game is fast and exciting, played on flat water (lakes and swimming pools) in specialist canoes that are 3 metres long. The game is played in teams of 5 with a water polo ball and is similar to basket ball. We welcome anyone from the complete novice to the experienced canoeist. We are an active and social club, on and off the water, and as a member you will have the opportunity to represent Bangor University at the annual BUCS championships, as well as monthly tournaments in Liverpool, and other weekend university tournaments.

We train in the swimming pool in Llandudno every Friday night meeting at the Students’ Union at 19.30 and have a session on the lake in Llanberis on Sundays meeting at 10.30 at the SU. The Club is growing every year and for the last two years has been highly successful with the Open team coming 3rd both years, and the ladies and Reeds (2nd team) improving their place every year.

Join our facebook group to find out about when we are training and where to meet, the club is very active on and off the water and we're happy to welcome everyone to have a go!
